GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL GROUPS AT METEOR CRATER
Meteor Crater welcomes school groups and desires to promote education about this astrogeological landmark. In order for all students and chaperones to get the most from the Meteor Crater experience, please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Students and adults must wear sturdy close-toed shoes on the guided rim tour. No sandals, flip-flops, high heels, open-toe or open-back shoes are allowed on the guided rim tour. This rule is firm and visitors will not be allowed on the trail with inappropriate footwear.
2. Students and adults must adhere to staff instructions and posted rules.
3. Only 5 students with one adult in the gift shop or restroom at any one time.
4. Be aware that other visitors are enjoying the facility. Please share museum displays, look out points, magnification scopes, and other aspects of the facility with other guests.
5. Dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
6. Feel free to inquire with staff about aspects of the Crater, its history, or the facility.
TEACHERS OR GROUP LEADERS
7. Upon arrival, admission must be paid in one lump sum either with cash or a major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX). Checks and P.O.’s are not accepted.
8. The reduced Subway Sandwich Shop rates on the Tour Reservation Form are available only by reservation and deposit. Please contact Meteor Crater at least two
weeks prior to arrival to reserve lunch at the group rate.
9. Please call Meteor Crater at 928-289-5898 or 800-289-5898 with any schedule changes or cancellations.
10. We would like to request that there be at least 1 adult per 15 students.
