Mountain Lakes Tour
Mountain Lakes Tour Mapspacer
A fisherman's haven, this tour will take you through the two million acre Coconino National Forest to remote, pristine mountain lakes with forested shorelines and scenic vistas, with the towering San Francisco Peaks set as a backdrop. You will encounter rustic lumberjack camps and see an abundance of wildlife…elk…deer, and occasionally a bald eagle on this 185 mile tour.

Take I-40 west to the I-17 Flagstaff/Grand Canyon exit, immediately exit McConnell Drive, left to Beulah Blvd. and left again (south) to Lake Mary Road exit. Follow along Upper and Lower Lake Mary to the Ashurst Lake turn-off. Upon returning to Lake Mary Road, proceed south to Stoneman Lake turn-off. Upon your return, continue to Clints Well, Hwy 87 north 3 miles to Forest Hwy 751 which will take you to Blue Ridge Reservoir. Return to Hwy 87 turn right (north) to Winslow and I-40 west to Meteor Crater RV Park.
