![]() There are many interesting destinations in the Flagstaff and surrounding area. Among the attractions are Flagstaff's historical downtown area, the famed Lowell Observatory, Pioneer Historical Museum, Riordan State Historical Park and the Museum of Northern Arizona. This tour also includes the Arizona Snow Bowl where you can take the scenic summer sky ride to the top of 11,200 foot Mount Agassiz, or ski during the winter months. Mount Agassiz is just south of 12,633 foot Mount Humphreys, the highest peak in Arizona. On your return, you have the option of traveling through the ponderosa pine forest along the base of the majestic San Francisco Peaks via Schultz Pass Road. This round trip is 112 miles. Take I-40 west to Flagstaff I-17 Exit and north on Milton Road to the downtown area and Lowell Observatory, then north on U.S. 180 to Pioneer Museum and Museum of Northern Arizona. Continue north 10 miles to Arizona Snow Bowl turn-off. Return via U.S. 180 to Schultz Pass Road (this is a graded dirt road recommended for dry weather only) east approximately 10 miles to U.S. 89, then south to I-40 and your return to Meteor Crater RV Park.
